Joy #19 - 10 Things Winners Always Do

Philippians 4:4

It’s what you always do that will determine your success in life. Success is not found in a day, but is found in what you do daily!

“Habits are the foundation of your destiny” -EW Kenyon

There are some things you have to determine to work into the pattern of our lives.

Here are 10 Things Winners Always Do:

1. Rejoice

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

There are 3 things listed here to do continually: rejoice, pray and give thanks. We aren’t commanded to do these things just when things are going well, but always.

2. Pray

Luke 18:1

A consistent prayer life is vital to your spiritual health. Amazing things will happen in your life when you are consistently in the secret place, touching heaven on a regular basis!

3. Seize Opportunity

John 7:6

Looking for and seizing opportunity is vital - many people are so trapped in their daily routines that they miss the daily opportunities that God has prepared for them. Train yourself to look for opportunity!

4. Abound in the work of the Lord

1 Corinthians 15:58

Doing your work unto the Lord is vital. When we take on Jesus’ yoke and work alongside Him, our load is easy and our burden is light.

5. Live in a spirit of victory

2 Corinthians 2:14

Instead of accepting everything life hands you, learn to stand and fight for the victory God has for you. There is always (eventually) a victory in God.

6. Be of Good Courage

2 Corinthians 5:6

To be full of courage is to be encouraged; to lose your courage is to be discouraged. We have to learn to encourage ourselves through worship music, prayer, and time with God.

7. Lean into God’s sufficiency & abundance

2 Corinthians 9:8

The purpose of accessing God’s sufficiency is to have an abundance for every good deed. God wants to pour His abundance into your life so you can be equipped for every good deed.

8. Give Thanks

Ephesians 5:20

Thanksgiving makes you locate the positives in your life. If your heart is not full of thanksgiving, your focus will default to the negatives in your life.

9. Season your speech with grace

Colossians 4:6

Every word you say should have a touch of grace. Your words have the power of life and death – so speak words of life!

10. Overcome Evil With Good

1 Thessalonians 5:1

Winners don’t retaliate - they are not revengeful. A vengeful spirit will never position you with the right attitude.

Adopt these ten habits and you will win in life!
